Don't be suckered in by a good idea. You can use nearly anything to turn it off, but the flying bit refused to fly any more. The key which connects the helicopter portion to the base had broken within a week.
By the time you've found the dongle, you're probably awake anyway. This implementation, however, leaves much to be desired. It is a cheap plastic. The idea is sound: a dongle launches itself up into the air, which you have to find and replace in order to get the base station to let you go back to sleep.
the kind that you find with children's toys, with a foam ball. much better alarm clocks are availble out there. For starters, the alarm is the loudest that I've heard in a long time, and there is no way to adjust the volume.
The controls in general aren't all that intuitive or satisfying. But worst of all, the helicopter bit just isn't durable enough.
The demo sounds like an airplane taking off--seems loud enough to wake me. I guess it is still effective. It is perfect for me--almost--but I cannot figure out how to set it---Honest, I have a college degree and have had two other people try.
I can get the right # but it just keeps flashing. I am lying awake nights trying to figure this out, so I don't need an alarm anymore. There were NO instructional papers in or on the box.
I received this as gift. I have successfully set the alarm for several days, and I managed the date, but I cannnot, for the life of me, set the time. PS--if anyone else can help me please explain in a review below.
Mine only has 5 buttons: Demo set snooze up and mode. It has a different alarm for different days feature that I think is terrific.
I REALLY LOVED THIS PRODUCT GOOD QUALITY AND DID THE UNBELIEVABLE JOB OF GETTING ME OUT OF BED
One is a voice mail box. GRRRRI thought perhaps I got a "faulty" one. THIS looks EXACTLY like the FLYING ALARM CLOCK I bought there. Mine is made by "Absolutely New".
the darn thing resets itself to 12:00 for both the clock and the alarm. Before I give my review let me say that I DID NOT buy this item from Amazon or from the seller here. The other is "enter your access code now". It's a WONDERFUL and FUN idea. When the alarm goes off the the ball with the propeller is supposed to launch into the air 9 feet (according to the ads and QVC) and fly around the room while a siren-like alarm sounds until you get up out of bed, find the "flyer" and return it to it's base. Only.
but mine does not. I saw this on QVC and wanted one for my 4 year old son. then the best part. The alarm goes off- with a half siren sound (like - wee-ooo- but only once then it stops completely) the ball/propeller doesn't LAUNCH from the clock. what mine actually does: I set the clock and the alarm. Great idea for anyone who has a hard time getting out of bed, right. so I called the customer service number on the box- oh and by the way the number on the warranty card and box are different- likely a typo- but there is no way to tell which is the correct number so I had to call both. ">>>.
I found one cheaper at our local drug store than it was offered for on TV. if only it would work correctly. So, not only did it not fly around the room or keep sounding the alarm until I put it back on it's base but now I have to reset both the clock and the alarm every morning. I got it at Rite-Aid for $[.]. it falls off to one side. You set the clock, you set the alarm. So, if the one offered here is from a different company then perhaps it works. GRRRWhat the one I bought is supposed to do: You install 4 AA batteries (which it doesn't tell you anywhere on the box or on the paperwork inside by the way).
